trigun backlog post: knd au

fanfic idea for today's @triguncelebration prompt (favorite fanfic i think one of the prompts is) that i need to eventually write

trigun x codename kids next door au

vash and knives are from the mid to late 1800s, so theyre still older than the rest, but theyre still kids in this au because they got preserved in ice cream or something like that one knd character who was preserved in ice cream during the knd parody of the alamo (numbuh 19th century if youre familiar with the show). maybe they were non operatives who happened to be caught in the crosshairs? theyre also cowboys because i say so

the gung ho guns are former kids next door operatives who sided with knives when he got denied by the knd for being too extreme/being technically too old due to the whole 1800s thing

vash isnt interested in becoming an operative even if they would let him because he wants to do his own thing but he works with the knd to stop knives from hurting anyone

meryl and milly are moon base operatives assigned to keep an eye on vash while he goes after knives

wolfwood and livio are the only gung ho guns who were never part of the knd, because instead they got recruited by the eye and trained to oppose the knd

in this the eye of michael is an anti knd organization that works with knives once he establishes himself as a threat

after all is said and done wolfwood and livio get recruited by the knd because of meryl and milly :) vash still isnt allowed in because hes technically too old according to their rules due to being from the 1800s even though hes like 10 in actuality but he still is an ally to the knd

vashs knd inspired weapon would be a ketchup gun. still brainstorming on the others. i have no idea what anyones operative numbers would be
