Newt and Hermann are both millenials and you can't convince me that Hermann doesn't know or understand memes. Even if he doesn't always like them, he can have full meme related conversations, both from it being the culture of his peers, but also because of Newt trying to get him to crack. Drifting only improved his opinion and knowledge of memes. Hermann can and will whip out a meme to win an argument with Newt. He's a millenial, he's not above that.
