OCs: Benji "Flameburst" Kowalczyk and Luke "Wraith" Zima

At age 24, Benji (he/him) and his service dog, a golden retriever named Nova (short for Novelty Socks, later known as Fire Blanket when out as a hero, she/her), were in a four car pile up when taking a taxi home from a doctor's appointment one day, with a semi truck transporting barrels of a mysterious liquid at the front of of the pile up. The liquid caused the cars behind it to set on fire even more than a usual crash. Once Benji and Nova fully healed, they discovered they both had super speed and could control fire/had an immunity to fire. It also extended their life spans (which they learn when Nova lives longer than an average dog). Benji never officially met the other crash survivors so he doesn't know if they have powers too or not.

Benji is a trans man with Tourette's and other issues I'm still deciding on (he's pretty much a self insert but idk if I wanna give him allllll of my diagnoses or not). He lives off disability benefits and doesn't have a day job so he spends a lot of time out as a hero. He really only stops to sleep, eat, and if his loved ones make him take a break (but even then he feels he's wasting time).

Luke (he/him) is one of his rogues gallery, a petty thief with ghost-like powers that he was born with who has muscular dystrophy. He uses a cane when out as a criminal, but a wheelchair as a civilian. He and Benji end up in a relationship!
